Job summary

PetVet Care Centers East Memphis is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, patient handling, and clerical duties in a full‑service practice in Memphis, Tennessee.

You will help with feeding, bathing, restraining, and basic care, while maintaining records and assisting with procedures. The team emphasizes a Culture of Care and local autonomy with national support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
• 1–2 years of veterinary experience; preferred: more than 2 years of veterinary experience

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and owners; record weight and vital signs
• Triage, perform exams, treatments, and administer medications as directed
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint
• Maintain hospital equipment and sanitation; ensure safe chemical use
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Full-time presence on schedule and contribute to team goals
