Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
• Take history from client and record observations in medical records.
• Educate clients on preventative care and follow-up.
• Perform venipuncture and in-house lab tests as directed.
• Provide nursing care and monitor patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Admit/discharge patients following protocols and educate clients.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Operate practice software for medication dispensing, labeling, and charting.
• Follow OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
• Perform client callbacks and updates as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
