Job summary

CityVet in Edmond, OK, is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant may be considered with a minimum of 1 year of veterinary industry experience. Compensation is based on experience and education.

The VT is responsible for maintaining excellent patient care, supporting veterinarians, and facilitating effective communication between the operating room, front office, and clients. Growth opportunities and a team-oriented environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and listening skills required.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians by prepping patients for procedures and monitoring post-op patients.
• Gather samples (stool, blood, etc.) for testing as needed.
• Administer medications and support anesthesia under supervision.
• Communicate with clients about care plans and instructions.
• Support front desk staff and client service when needed.
