Job summary

Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, OK is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with veterinarians, assist in surgeries, monitor anesthesia, and perform dental and imaging procedures.

We value a compassionate, team-oriented individual with solid animal handling skills, excellent communication, and a strong commitment to patient and client care. This is a full-time position in a busy clinic with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must hold RVT license in Oklahoma or be eligible to transfer/obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment required.
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners.
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Dental experience including scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
  • Phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, casts, bandages, and splints experience.
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation and perioperative care.
  • Solid understanding of veterinary pharmacology and dose calculations.
  • Laboratory skills including cytology setup and interpretation.
  • Experience with digital radiology and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgeries and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Provide high-quality patient care and client communication.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and logs.
  • Perform routine nursing tasks and dental procedures as needed.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and laboratory work.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma! Location: 3800 E 2nd St, Edmond, OK 73034 Salary: competitive and dependent on experience Schedule: Variable; must be willing to work AM shifts for surgeries

Who You Are
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oklahoma, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
  • 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Dental Experience; scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Confident with medical math and drug calculations
  • Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
  • Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
  • And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
