Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a compassionate Van Driver to transport community residents and support activities. You will assist in planning and coordinating van transportation for outings, medical appointments, and shopping, while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and a demonstrated interest in the elderly. Benefits are available to eligible associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Interest in elderly care and understanding their needs.
• Experience with activities/recreation and outings.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicles in accordance with warranty requirements or internal maintenance plans to ensure safety.
• Acts as an Activity Assistant when on excursions; stays with group except when parking the van.
• Transports residents to medical appointments, outings, and shopping trips.
• Monitors resident activity and alerts staff when assistance is needed to ensure safety.
