Job summary

Journey's In Community Living is seeking a dependable Van Driver to safely transport people to and from homes, appointments, activities, shopping, and outings. Work hours are Monday - Friday 7a-9:30a/1:30p-3:30p in Murfreesboro, TN.

You will operate agency vehicles, secure passengers, assist with entering/exiting, and ensure mobility equipment is properly stowed. Expect documentation, spotless vehicle maintenance, and adherence to all policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid Tennessee Class D Driver's License with F endorsement.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and/or operating a van, bus, or truck preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate agency vehicles and follow all traffic laws.
• Ensure passengers are properly secured and assist with entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
• Provide respectful, reliable transportation and support.
• Complete required documentation and follow individual support plans.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and safety equipment.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all agency policies and procedures.
