Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Unit Secretary at Greenville Memorial Hospital in the Neuroscience & Stroke Unit. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide excellent customer service and handle clerical duties at the nurse’s station, greeting visitors and responding to patient calls.

Responsibilities include ordering and stocking supplies, data entry, meeting minutes, maintaining bulletin boards, and ensuring a safe environment. Evening shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• Education - Unit Secretary training program or unit-based on-the-job training.
• Experience - No experience required.
• In lieu of training, 6 months healthcare or administrative experience accepted.
• In lieu of training, nursing fundamentals course accepted.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and respond to patient calls at the nurse’s station.
• Manage ordering, stocking, and inventory of supplies.
• Provide administrative support including data entry and meeting minutes.
• Maintain bulletin boards and downtime forms.
• Coordinate safe, clean, and functional environment per standards.
• Notify RN of designated patient safety alerts.
