Job summary

Sci Corp is hiring for a Removal Specialist in Arlington, TX. You will perform first-call removals of the deceased, adhering to safety, legal, and company procedures while demonstrating empathy with families and coordinating with local authorities and facilities.

You will also maintain company vehicles, manage paperwork, and record events in the proprietary software. This role requires physical strength, reliability, and willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to work schedule to support business needs including weekends and nights.
• On-call weekends, nights and holidays rotation.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds.
• Comfort with driving in heavy traffic and various weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills required to log jobs and track information.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company owned professional vehicles to perform first-call removals of deceased in accordance with local and state laws and company policies.
• Follows chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification procedures; cooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility.
• Interacts with bereaved family members during home removals with sensitivity; follows procedures for removing soiled materials and leaves a courteous first impression.
• Enters deceased event information into proprietary software per company procedures.
• Transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes and assists with moving caskets.
