Job summary

SCI seeks a Transfer Specialist to manage the care, removal, and transport of deceased, collaborating with teams to ensure compliant processes. Position requires professional appearance and safe driving of company vehicles, with interactions with families kept respectful.

Responsibilities include transferring deceased items, entering event information in proprietary software, and supporting transport to airports or funeral homes. Weekend/night availability and lifting up to 75 lb are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• At least 1 year experience as courier/driver with customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company vehicles to perform first-call transfers of deceased in compliance with laws and policies.
• Follow chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification procedures.
• Interact with families, first responders, hospitals, and care facilities with sensitivity.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and fuel as needed; perform basic maintenance checks.
