The position involves assisting with home transfers, documenting events in proprietary software, and collaborating with first responders, hospitals, and care facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses: Current state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience: At least 1 year as courier/driver with direct customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfers and safely drives company vehicles for first-call transfers.
• Maintain chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification.
• Cooperate with first responders, hospital staff, or senior living facilities.
• Interact with bereaved families during home transfers with sensitivity.
• Follow procedures for transferring soiled garments, bedding, and materials.
• Enter deceased event information into proprietary software.
• Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; assist with moving caskets.
• Vehicle maintenance: wash, vacuum, and keep vehicles presentable.
• Fuels vehicles as necessary and follow safety guidelines.
• Identify vehicle engine or operating issues and report to management.
