Job summary

SCI Corp is seeking a Transfer Specialist in Santa Ana, CA. The role involves care, removal, and transport of deceased and collaboration with medical and facility staff. You will drive company vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and present a professional appearance when meeting families.

Responsibilities include coordinating transfers, entering data into proprietary software, and assisting with loading caskets while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work on-call weekends, nights and holidays rotation.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company owned professional vehicles to perform “first call” transfer of deceased in accordance with local and state/provincial laws and company policies.
• Cooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and accommodate their processes and procedures.
• Interact with bereaved family members in a courteous and professional manner for home transfers; leave a warm first impression.
• Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
• Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; assist with moving caskets.
