Job summary

Aura Care Group in Minnesota is seeking a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) to safely administer medications and provide direct resident care under licensed nurse supervision. You will support the nursing team, monitor residents for side effects, assist with ADLs, and help maintain accurate medication records, while upholding dignity, safety, and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota CNA certification.
• Completion of an approved TMA program in Minnesota.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe medication practices.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused attitude.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under nurse supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately administer oral, topical, and inhaled medications as delegated by licensed nursing staff
• Document medication administration and report any changes, refusals, or concerns promptly
• Observe residents for side effects, adverse reactions, and overall response to medications
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, mobility, and meals as needed
• Ensure residents’ dignity, safety, and comfort at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication carts, storage areas, and supplies
• Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care
• Adhere to state, federal, and facility policies and regulations regarding medication administration and resident care
