Job summary

Dimensions in Haverhill is seeking a part-time Support Worker to assist people with learning disabilities and autism in their own supported living flats. You will provide 1:1 support, help with daily tasks, attend appointments, and support activities in the local community.

Flexibility, strong communication, reliability, and a person-centred approach are essential. Training is provided, and there are opportunities for progression and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Flexible and able to work across multiple supported living flats, meeting individual needs.
• Enjoys helping people achieve goals and maintain independence.
• Can communicate clearly and build trusting relationships.
• Reliable, proactive and able to adapt to changing needs.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Has basic IT skills and is willing to learn.
• Shares commitment to person-centred support.
• Experience in support work is welcomed but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 (and occasionally 2:1) support across eight flats and the community.
• Help people maintain independence and develop life skills.
• Attend medical appointments, activities, and events with the people we support.
• Assist with home management, meals, and staying connected with family.
