Job summary

BayMark Health Services seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted programs and coping strategies for opioid addiction. You will conduct individual and group sessions, coordinate care with the treatment team, and assess progress to adapt treatment plans.

The role requires ADC/AADC credentials in Arkansas, experience with chemically dependent individuals, and proficiency with an EMR system.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ADC or AADC in the state of Arkansas.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records).
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Counselor will conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Coordinate care of assigned patients and present patient status to treatment team.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans per state requirements.
• Provide clinical services and education to patients including opiate addiction counseling.
• Excellent documentation and computer skills required.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
