Compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor at BayMark Health Services provides direct counseling to patients in an outpatient treatment setting, including individual and group sessions, crisis management, and aftercare planning.

The role involves evaluating patient progress with a collaborative care team of doctors, nurses, and counselors, while ensuring records meet federal and state regulations governing NTP clinics.

Qualifications

• CAC I or higher certification required.
• Certified CDP in DC or eligibility to take exam.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Completes bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours regularly.
• Direct services comprise 55% of the workday.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Conducts quality assurance file reviews.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per Federal/State regulations for NTP clinics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
