Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) to provide routine nursing care under supervision. You will assist with hygiene, transports for activities and visits, and respond promptly to call lights in a compassionate, professional manner.

Qualified candidates hold STNA certification, can read/write English, and demonstrate patience and enthusiasm for resident well-being. Training and in-service education are provided to maintain care standards.

Qualifications

• Must have STNA certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Patience, tact and cheerful disposition; able to handle residents appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits and other events; transport as needed.
• Answer residents' call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with hygiene and bathing according to policies.
• Follow infection control procedures when isolation is necessary.
• Chart required information every shift pertaining to the STNA role.
• Present a professional image through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensure that resident rights are protected.
