Job summary

Lincoln Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraeducator to join our team in a full-time role. You will support students with diverse learning needs under the guidance of teachers, helping ensure access to meaningful learning experiences in a positive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with implementing IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support during academic activities and social interactions.
• Help students develop life skills such as communication, self-regulation, and socialization.
• Monitor and document student progress, behavior and engagement in class activities.
• Support students during transitions between classes, lunch and recess for safety and smoothness.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom organization.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills in special education.
