Job summary

Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Minimum two years of veterinary medicine experience.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.
• Customer-centric approach when engaging adopters, partners, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues.
• Ability to work with dogs and cats, including those with health/behavior concerns.
• Strong interpersonal, team, and professional communication skills.
• Well-developed organization to juggle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with MS Office and shelter software.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate kindness and respect for all people and animals in daily tasks.
• Perform basic medical care under veterinarian supervision; injections, blood draws, vaccinations, and fluids.
• Maintain clean, disinfected workspace and accurate medical records.
• Support volunteers and foster parents, assisting with aftercare and emergency communication.
• Provide basic animal care including feeding, walking, and socialization.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate program information.
• Collaborate with team to achieve lifesaving goals; follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety practices and report unsafe conditions.
