Job summary

The Commons in Lincoln, part of Benchmark Senior Living, is seeking a Server to join our dining team. Availability: Full Time/Part Time with shifts including Tue-Sat 2-8 PM and Sun-Sat 7 AM-7 PM, Wednesdays & Fridays 7 AM-7 PM; Per Diem as needed.

You will take orders, serve meals, set up dining rooms, assist residents, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment. Prior food service knowledge and the ability to lift 50 lbs are helpful in this role.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations for food service operations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position requiring extended standing.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.
