Job summary

Community Bridges seeks a Van Driver-Non Commercial License to provide door-to-door transport for seniors and mobility-impaired riders in Watsonville, CA. The role requires pre-trip checks, safe driving, and adherence to safety regulations.

Under supervision, you will operate a van, assist passengers, manage records, and coordinate routes while following California driving laws and agency procedures. This is a limited-term, on-site position with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• California driving laws and regulations.
• Ability to transport elderly and/or physically/mentally limited passengers.
• Ability to identify health changes in passengers and report them.
• Pre-trip van inspection and basic maintenance awareness.
• DOT drug screening and Department of Justice checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van to pick up and drop off elderly and/or disabled passengers.
• Ensure lifts and tie-down equipment are operational and safe.
• Maintain logs of passengers driven, miles, and gasoline.
• Provide door-to-door service and assist passengers on/off the van.
• Follow FCC regulations for radio use and maintain professional conduct.
