Job summary

Brookstone Estates, Emerald Glen, & Grand Victorian in Illinois seeks a compassionate Transportation Assistant to drive the Activity Bus for residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents, coordinating appointments, and maintaining bus cleanliness with a professional demeanor.

You will handle transportation requests, organize efficient routes, and ensure safe, respectful service for seniors, while adhering to safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Must hold valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age of 21 years or older preferred with driving record in good standing.
• Prior experience in driving an Activity bus for the senior population is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents on and off the bus, using the vehicle lift, when necessary.
• Walk residents into their appointments and pick them up from appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the bus.
• Complete any forms necessary for upkeep of bus.
• Take transportation requests and keep track of all appointments.
• Coordinate multiple transportation requests in one day and accommodate all requests reasonably.
• Organize and coordinate directions to maintain the most efficient route.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while driving the Activity Bus.
