Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community seeks a part-time Transportation Aide to assist residents with bus rides at Brookstone Estates, Rantoul, IL. You will drive the activity bus, escort residents to appointments, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record. Prior bus-driving experience for seniors is preferred, with basic computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Must hold valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age of 21 years or older preferred with driving record in good standing.
• Prior experience in driving an Activity bus for the senior population is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents on and off the bus, using the vehicle lift, when necessary.
• Walk residents into their appointment, picks them up from their appointments.
• Maintains cleanliness of interior and exterior of the bus.
• Completes any forms necessary for upkeep of bus.
• Responsible for taking transportation requests and keeping track of all appointments.
• Ability to coordinate multiple transportation requests in one day and accommodate all requests in a reasonable manner.
• Ability to organize and coordinate directions to maintain the most efficient route.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor when driving the Activity Bus, which supports team performance and productivity.
