Job summary

Aging Partners seeks dependable Van Drivers to safely transport seniors and individuals with disabilities across Lincoln and Lancaster County. You will help passengers board, secure mobility devices, and provide courteous, reliable service.

Schedule: variable hours between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is unclassified and not eligible for benefits. Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 35 lbs and operating wheelchair lifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Current Nebraska Driver's License with excellent driving history.
• Pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screen; participate in DOT random testing pool.
• Must pass local and national Criminal History checks and DMV checks.
• Able to assist passengers and operate mobility devices safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 12-passenger vans and buses to transport seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout Lincoln and Lancaster County.
• Assist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts and securing mobility devices.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle with route information, maps, and first aid supplies.
• Attend driver trainings and work cooperatively with team members; support occasional evening/weekend programs.
