Job summary

Morada Senior Living is hiring a Driver to provide timely transportation for residents to activities and events. You will assist passengers with mobility, secure wheelchairs, and maintain safety and cleanliness of vehicles in a team-focused environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 21, with a valid CDL if required by DOT regulations. Experience in customer service, especially in a senior living setting, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record, per DOT regulations.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize them during trips.
• Operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruptions.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewals; inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.
