Job summary

Town of Hudson is seeking a Bus Driver to transport senior citizens to the Senior Center, hospitals, appointments, and recreational trips. You will perform safety checks, assist passengers, and maintain clean, safe buses in accordance with daily check sheets.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Massachusetts driver's license, and 1.5 to 3 years of experience driving and working with the elderly. Good communication and adherence to safety rules are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent; experience in driving and working with the elderly; or any equivalent combination/certification and experience.
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver license.
• One and a half to three year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transports senior citizens to and from Senior Center, hospitals, doctor’s appointments, blood pressure clinics, stores and other special recreational trips.
• M a kes daily checks on buses to insure cleanliness and mechanical efficiency.
• Assists senior citizens with errands such as carrying groceries, etc.
• Reports injuries or possible health or abuse to Council on Aging Director.
