Job summary

The Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens in Cedar Bluff, Virginia is seeking reliable Transit Drivers to provide safe transportation services for seniors. This role ensures the independence of our elderly riders across Tazewell, Russell, Dickenson, and Buchanan Counties, PA.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and preferable experience with the elderly. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle safety, assisting passengers, and ensuring timely transportation.

Training will be provided on vehicle operations and passenger assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Job requires some lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport riders/passengers to and from approved destinations.
• Assist riders boarding and unboarding when needed.
• Maintain accurate transportation records.
