Job summary

Point Pleasant Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean and comfortable living spaces for residents. You will clean common areas and resident rooms, follow cleaning procedures, and collaborate with the care team to ensure a welcoming environment.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, pass background/drug screenings, and demonstrate genuine care for seniors. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, with prior hospitality or senior living

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in hospitality or a senior community is helpful but not required.
• Must pass employment screenings including criminal background and drug tests.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds with good body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas and resident rooms following established procedures.
• Dust and clean surfaces, vents, and fixtures.
• Vacuum, spot-clean carpets and upholstery.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restrooms; restock supplies.
• Identify safety hazards and report to supervisor.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to management.
• Work with a team to support residents and fellow staff.
