Job summary

Manor Lake Horizon in Hoschton, GA seeks a friendly Dietary Aide to assist in meal service, preparation, and cleanup for residents. You will follow portion controls, help with menus, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Background screening as required by law.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, empathy, patience, and effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks.
• Know and use portion control procedures when preparing and serving meals.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties including work areas, tables, appliances and floors.
• Complete required training for but not limited to serving alcohol in accordance with regulations.
• Treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
• Assist in dish and utensil washing and cleaning including gathering soiled items and stocking cleaned items.
• Distribute and collect menus and check trays for completeness and diet preferences.
• Adhere to sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Report resident complaints to Culinary Director or Executive Director.
• Dispose of food and waste per policies.
• Handle infectious waste and body fluids with proper safety gear.
• Ensure proper storage of raw and leftover foods; obtain supplies for next meals.
• Report hazardous conditions or incidents promptly.
