Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our community restaurant. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, families, and guests, working closely with the culinary director to balance traditional comfort food with innovative options, all from scratch using seasonal, local ingredients.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a full-service kitchen, understands dietary needs for seniors, and can follow menus and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Food Handler Card and knowledge of kitchen sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals per established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas and keep stations clean.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely service.
• Check and restock foods, adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training and maintain proper handling of cleaning supplies.
