Job summary

Autumn Village is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and ensuring dietary plans are followed in a supportive dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service role (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans and requests.
• Sanitation: maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup and serving for a positive dining experience.
• Food safety: follow storage, handling, and sanitation protocols.
• Inventory support: assist receiving and storing food; flag shortages.
• Team collaboration: work with dietary team to keep kitchen/dining operations smooth.
• Resident engagement: accommodate special dietary requests and preferences.
