Autumnwood of Deckerville is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist with meal preparation, delivery, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow diet cards and portion guidelines.
• Must adhere to sanitation procedures and food safety standards.
• Computer skills are required for documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Handle and store food per facility procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare food items using standardized recipes and safe handling practices.
• Operate institutional kitchen equipment as directed.
• Set up the food tray line and assemble diet trays per diet cards.
• Deliver and rotate trays to units, ensuring correct diets.
• Report any food refusals and prepare alternates as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Report equipment problems promptly to supervisor.
• Assist with nourishment deliveries and snacks as scheduled.
• Support CDC and state inspection preparations as needed.
