Job summary

Mocksville Senior Living and Memory Care is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team in providing nutritious, resident-focused meals. You will assist with meal prep and serving, follow food safety protocols, and help create a positive dining experience for residents in a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, an interest in food service, and a desire to work with the elderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience in a food service role (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, wash dishes and equipment.
• Resident support: assist with meal setup, serving, and positive dining experiences.
• Food safety: follow food safety protocols, proper storage and handling.
• Inventory support: assist in receiving, storing, and notifying shortages.
• Team collaboration: work with dietary team to ensure smooth operations.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and respect preferences.
