The Gardens of Hendersonville is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. You will assist in preparing, portioning, and serving meals to residents according to dietary plans and preferences.

Ideal candidates have a strong understanding of food safety, enjoy working with seniors, and communicate clearly with residents and staff to ensure a positive dining experience. This role emphasizes teamwork and attention to cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience in a food service role is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: help prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans and special requests.
• Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness and sanitation.
• Assist residents with meal setup and dining to ensure a positive experience.
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage and sanitation practices.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, and notify the Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Work closely with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Fulfill residents' dietary requests and preferences during meals.
