Job summary

Trinity Health in an enhanced assisted living/memory care community is seeking a Part-time Resident Assistant (Aide) per diem. You’ll be a companion, not just a caregiver, providing warmth, respect, and support in a home-like setting. Under supervision of the LPN/RN, you’ll help with ADLs and monitor safety while encouraging independence.

Qualifications

• Must possess patience, empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols.
• Working knowledge of computers including electronic health records and required applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Assist residents in taking medications as needed.
• Encourage and support resident independence and dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and well-being, reporting any change to the LPN.
• Consult with the LPN/RN on changes in health status of residents.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and anticipate their needs.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal service as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate with coworkers and supervisors.
