Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve.
• Ability to assist residents with physical and emotional needs.
• Direct-Care certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Sincere compassion and genuine concern for seniors.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and computers.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate care changes.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Make routine care rounds per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts/moves using proper body mechanics or devices.
• Maintain skin integrity and manage continence as needed.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report resident issues promptly to supervisors.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
• Familiarize with care plans and provide appropriate support.
• Share observations to inform care planning.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Offer physical, emotional, and psychosocial support.
• Uphold residents' rights and report any abuse or rights violations.
• Implement safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintain a safe workplace and participate in trainings.
• Stay connected with the Resident Care Director.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
