Job summary

Rest Haven York in York, PA is seeking a Part-Time Resident Activities Assistant to help plan and run engaging programs for residents, 9:30am-3:30pm, 2-3 days per week with 30 minutes lunch deduction. Responsibilities include visiting residents one-to-one and providing social, sensory, and leisure activities.

You will maintain records, assist with care plans, transport residents, and support safety and ethics standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Must have a pleasant and outgoing personality with a flair for creativity.
• Basic understanding of the needs of the elderly; patience and empathy.
• Ability to treat Rest Haven and Resident information as confidential.
• Organized and effective communicator.
• Criminal history background clearance: Act 169 and Act 13.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement programs for residents.
• Provide one-to-one visits for friendly interaction, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and leisure instruction.
• Maintain and report resident progress and records.
• Transport residents to activities and supervise safety.
• Participate in resident care plan meetings and QAPI initiatives.
