Job summary

The Quarters at Des Peres seeks a compassionate Activities Assistant to support residents with daily activities and care needs, assisting with grooming, feeding and mobility under supervision.

You will help with resident engagement and communication while contributing to a warm, resident-centered environment. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass a state exam are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass a state-issued exam.
• Strong communication with residents and families.
• Ability to react decisively in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists Activities Supervisor with daily activities and supplies.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises.
• Provides for personal care and comfort; assists movement.
• Records temperatures and vital signs as directed.
