Key duties include patrols, incident reporting, camera and alarm system management, and enforcing policies. Strong observation, communication, and empathy for older adults are essential, with some weekend or night shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or healthcare security experience preferred.
• Valid security license (if required by state regulations).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflicts effectively.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and respond quickly to situations.
• Compassionate demeanor, especially when interacting with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to prevent unauthorized access and ensure resident safety.
• Perform regular patrols of the property, including buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies (e.g., medical, fire, disturbances).
• Monitor and manage security camera systems, alarm systems, and communication equipment.
• Maintain logs and write detailed incident reports.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures, including visitor check-in protocols.
• Provide support in evacuations, lockdowns, and emergency drills.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and emergency services.
• Assist with resident safety concerns.
• Maintain a professional and courteous presence at all times.
