Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
• Must be trained in de-escalation techniques and certified within orientation period.
• Must receive RQI certification within three months of hire and maintain clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and reassessments of patient condition and care needs.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
• Develops and revises individualized treatment plans with patient and family involvement.
• Follows the seven medication rights and reduces potential for errors.
• Documents nursing process and responses in a timely manner.
