Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley in Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care. You will facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

In this role you will apply the nursing process, document care, and ensure adherence to care standards and the State Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; endorsement may apply.
• RN License in the state of employment.
• Physical requirements: medium work, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records.
• Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate charts and records; document status, interventions and outcomes; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote and advocate for patient health, safety, and rights.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness and evaluating teaching effectiveness.
• Shifts: this position requires 4x10 hour shifts per week.

Education
