Job summary

MedStar Health in Leonardtown, Maryland is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge in collaboration with patients and families. You will lead care delivery with the interdisciplinary team, advocate for patients, ensure safety and quality, and apply evidence-based practice to improve outcomes.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), 1–2 years RN experience, state RN license, CPR

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level required to enroll in a BSN program within 12 months of hire date and completion within 4 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans, implement and evaluate nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with patient, family and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Lead care delivery with a focus on safety, quality and patient experience.
• Advocate for patients and communicate clinical concerns to the team in a timely manner.
• Identify and respond to changing patient conditions with appropriate interventions.
