Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
• Healthcare Provider CPR (biennial) required; ACLS/PALS/NRP for specialty areas required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: compile database, formulate nursing diagnosis and set priorities.
• Planning: write and update written nursing care plans and coordinate discharge planning.
• Implementation: administer medications and IV therapy, perform procedures, and respond to emergencies.
• Patient care coordination: manage daily patient assignments and supervise care by staff.
• Teaching and quality improvement: document patient teaching and participate in ongoing education and unit improvement.
