Job summary

NMC Health in Newton, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Unit. You will provide skilled nursing care, assess patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Full-time or part-time positions are available for day and night shifts. A ADN or BSN from ACEN/CCNE-accredited program is required, along with Kansas RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification. ACLS recommended.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas.
• Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support; ACLS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients, including comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing care, incorporating teaching, counseling, and direct physical care.
• Evaluate patient responses and progress toward outcomes to adjust care plans accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Offer reassurance and support to families, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in every interaction.
• Contribute to a compassionate care environment through dedication, expertise, and attention to detail.
