Job summary

Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians and therapists to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

The role requires an RN license in Kansas and BLS certification; ACLS is preferred. This facility supports weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotations and offers a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN).
• Current and valid RN license in Kansas.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists and staff to implement care plans.
• Communicate with residents, families and team members about patient status.
• Maintain accurate patient records per policies and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff (LPNs and CNAs).
• Ensure nursing practices comply with state/federal regulations and safety protocols.
• Respond to medical emergencies and stabilize acute conditions.
• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotations.
