Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join West Jefferson Medical Center. The role focuses on direct patient care, coordination with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring safe, compassionate care at the bedside.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana or valid RN license in the United States.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a related nursing area.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate direct patient care.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team about significant events or changes.
• Prevent and treat wounds.
• Monitor and enforce Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, and an exceptional patient experience.
• Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and continuum of care services.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked.
