Job summary

PACS, a post-acute healthcare services provider, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver pulmonary therapy, evaluation, rehabilitation, and direct patient care. The role involves following supervisor directives, adhering to facilities policies, and coordinating with nursing and medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.

The position requires an associate degree and licensure, with a preference for BS degree and at least one year of relevant acute/subacute experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited school and graduation from a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in health care field preferred.
• Minimum of one year respiratory experience in an acute and/or subacute unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervisor's schedule and established policies.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
• Perform focused interview to identify patient needs and assess changes in respiratory status.
• Collect, analyze and interpret data for diagnoses and care planning.
• Plan outcomes of care and implement interventions per plan and hospital policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any privacy concerns.
• Promote good interdepartmental communication and rapport with staff.
