Job summary

PACS is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to support acute and subacute patient care. You will follow supervisor instructions, adhere to policies, perform focused interviews, assess patient status, collect and interpret data, and plan outcomes of care.

The role requires an Associate Degree, Respiratory Care program graduate, and licenses (RCP, CPR/BLS, ACLS). At least one year of experience preferred. The work environment emphasizes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, an Associate Degree from an accredited school.
• Must be a Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in the health care field preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in an acute and/or subacute unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused interviews to identify patients’ needs and plan outcomes.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data; document diagnoses and care plans.
• Adhere to facility policies, safety and infection control procedures.
• Report changes in respiratory status to supervisors and physicians; coordinate with interdepartmental staff.

Education

Associate Degree from an accredited school

Graduate of a respiratory care program

Bachelor of Science degree in health care (preferred)

Minimum of one year respiratory experience in an acute/subacute unit (preferred)
