Job summary

Maclayhealth in California is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, treat, and care for residents with breathing disorders under physician supervision. Qualifications

• 2–4 years of direct respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Must have active California Respiratory License (NBRC credential)
• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy program preferred.
• Must have current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate devices as prescribed by physician to diagnose and treat respiratory disorders.
• Monitor vital signs and arterial blood gases; report adverse changes.
• Perform chest physical therapy, suctioning and airway clearance to mobilize secretions.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies to assess ventilation status.
