Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care Practitioner I at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care, including oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilator care, and education, with patient-centered assessment and intervention.

You will monitor responses, adjust therapies, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure optimal outcomes. This role supports the hospital's mission and requires licensure and NBRC credentialing where

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Current state Respiratory Care License
• NBRC credentialed; RRT preferred
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred
• Valid driver's license for Home Care/DME

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's physical status by inspection, palpation, auscultation, and data review
• Perform prescribed respiratory therapies and explain goals to patients
• Monitor patient response and modify therapy as needed
• Provide patient and family education on therapies
• Assist with bronchoscopy and tracheostomy as required
• Maintain Respiratory Therapy equipment and supplies
• Respond to cardio-pulmonary emergencies as needed
