Responsibilities

• Answer call lights promptly and courteously.
• Pass trays in dining room and to residents in bed.
• Pass drinking water and ice.
• Strip bed linen and remake bed as directed.
• Report observations to supervisor and record nourishment intake as directed.
• Help orient new residents to the facility.
• Straighten rooms and label personal toiletries.
• Clean equipment as directed (bedpans, wheelchairs, IV poles).
• Monitor compliance with state/federal regulations (infection control, hazardous materials, fire safety).
• Monitor resident rights and ensure respectful care.
